Back the future of Sustainable Aquafarms

Our Story

We are the first company to successfully domesticate pelagic Sargassum, the free-floating seaweed capable of thriving in the open ocean. Our proprietary Algeaponix systems enable the year-round harvesting and cultivation of this fast-growing, carbon-hungry seaweed, turning it into a consistent, scalable feedstock for sustainable industries.

From biostimulants and emulsifiers to biochar and vegan leather, Sargassum’s applications are vast. By supplying companies creating planet-positive materials, we’re replacing fossil-fuel-based inputs and enabling new bio-based value chains.

Scale-Up

Starting in the Caribbean, we partner with hotels, governments, and researchers to intercept influxing Sargassum, reducing the need for costly beach cleanups and transforming a coastal nuisance into a climate solution. With support from leading institutions like AWI, NOC, CarbonWave, Macrocarbon and global recognition from Ocean Visions, XPRIZE, and Coldplay, we’re scaling fast.

Our ultimate mission? To deploy open-ocean megafarms in the subtropical gyres, regions covering nearly half the planet’s surface, where Sargassum can grow at scale and sequester up to 8 gigatonnes of CO₂ annually. Excess biomass can be baled and sunk to the deep ocean, providing permanent carbon removal while generating high-integrity carbon credits.

"We are in this together"

We believe in shared research to facilitate others who share in our vision and will work together to tackle the Herculean task humanity has created for itself.
