A complete system for managing Sargassum influxes

We intercept nuisance Sargassum approaching coastlines before it beaches, then store and stabilise the biomass in our in-water paddocks. This helps preserve its quality while creating a more reliable, year-round supply for industry.

Once harvested, the Sargassum is processed and separated into liquid and pulp fractions, creating industrial feedstocks for different product pathways. Working with our partners, these feedstocks can be transformed into biostimulants, biochar, biomaterials and other bio-based products.

Seafields creates the opportunity to connect existing Sargassum management spend with infrastructure that turns an unpredictable waste stream into a reliable resource - creating a new valorisation pathway

Sargassum Solution.

The new and cost-effective solution for Caribbean Hotels and Governments

Our proactive approach prevents Sargassum from reaching the beach by using strategically placed deflection barriers. The intercepted seaweed is then transferred into our AlgaePonix paddocks, ensuring efficient management and a consistent, year-round supply for industry.

SeaClear keeps beaches Sargassum-free with a simple, cost-effective solution, whilst supporting a zero-waste, circular economy!

Keep beaches pristine – Keep shorelines clean and inviting, free from unsightly and smelly Sargassum.

Lower clean-up costs – Say goodbye to expensive, labor-intensive cleanups and ongoing maintenance fees

Create guest attractions – AlgaePonix aquafarms promote marine biodiversity, creating new snorkeling attractions.

Zero-Waste Solution – Seafields repurpose Sargassum into sustainable products, ensuring nothing goes to waste.

Reduce environmental impact – Zero landfill waste, reduce heavy machinery use, and protect coastal sand.

Sustainability leadership – Strengthen your brand with a certified eco-friendly solution

By preventing the decomposition of the seaweed, SeaClear can “help avoid the emission of harmful gases” such as methane, while supporting a 'zero-waste solution'

Seafields team

How it works.

A partnership for impact on coastlines and communities

Our engineered and rigorouslytested deflection barriers are strategically installed within affected bays, redirecting Sargassum before it reaches the shore.

These barriers intercept Sargassum and our in-water paddocks contain the seaweed, preventing unsightly buildup and protecting your coastline.

With long-term protection and regular maintenance handled by the Seafields team, hotels and governments incur zero maintenance or repair costs.

In return Seafields harvests and removes the Sargassum and transports it to a nearby sustainable processing centre (to turn into green products) provided by the client for responsible management.

Building a circular economy

Seafields processes all the stored seaweed into biostimulants (sustainable fertilizer) and sends the remaining pulp to our partners to be transformed into biochar, bioplastics, and other green products.

Our operations close the loop and create a zero-waste solution for Sargassum.

This supports eco-certifications like the Global Sustainable Tourism Council, increasing hotels credentials and sustainable initiatives.
