Sustainable inputs
with verifiable impact
Today’s manufacturers need more than just sustainable sourcing, you need hard data, traceable supply chains, and a credible story that resonates with regulators and customers alike. Seafields provides Sargassum biomass as a feedstock designed to meet those needs.
-
Granular impact data
Our smart paddocks track every stage of seaweed cultivation, giving you detailed, real-time data for your lifecycle assessments and environmental product declarations.
-
Stronger green premium narrative
Product companies are drawn to purchasing problematic seaweed such as Sargassum. They can demonstrate how their products contribute to mitigating harmful blooms, reinforcing the justification for a ‘green premium.’ This narrative is further strengthened by messaging around methane emission reduction, ecosystem protection, and other environmental co-benefits.
-
Ultra-low supply chain emissions
Because we cultivate, harvest, and process close to market, our biomass has some of the lowest CO₂ transport footprints in the industry, and in some pathways, even negative emissions.
-
What Seafields delivers
Certified data for compliance and reporting.
Enhanced brand value to justify premium positioning.
Reliable, scalable supply of sustainable biomass.
Product Pathways
We are the first company to successfully domesticate pelagic Sargassum, the free-floating seaweed capable of thriving in the open ocean. Our proprietary AlgaePonix systems enable the year-round harvesting and cultivation of this fast-growing, carbon-hungry seaweed, turning it into a consistent, scalable feedstock for sustainable industries.
From biostimulants, emulsifiers, bioplastics to biochar and vegan leather, Sargassum’s applications are vast. By supplying companies creating planet-positive materials, we’re replacing fossil-fuel-based inputs and enabling new bio-based value chains.
Reducing our carbon output is only fixing one part of the global problem facing humanity. The only way to not only reach net zero but regenerate our life-giving ecosystems is to remove – or sequester – some of the 50 gigatonnes of greenhouse gases that we emit each year
